Looking for October wedding flowers? We’ve put together a handy list of what tends to be in season during this time. However, availability is dependent on a lot of factors, including the weather, so we can’t make any guarantees.
SO, WHAT’S IN SEASON DURING OCTOBER?
Our first pick for October is Bells of Ireland. While not a hugely popular choice for weddings, we wish they were! These unique green flowers go with pretty much anything. The height of Bells of Ireland makes them especially ideal for centerpieces. For a classically elegant spring centerpiece, you can pair bells of Ireland with sweet-smelling white stock in a glass cylinder vase. Did you know? We also offer a full vase hire service with our wedding flowers. To get pricing, simply check the box for vase hire when you fill out our Wedding Quote Form.
Next up is sweet pea. It’s not surprising that sweet peas are a spring favourite. These romantic, ruffly blooms smell divine, and come in all sorts of colours too. They look great when paired with other fragrant spring blooms such as ranunculus, stock, chrysanthemums, erlicheer, and snapdragons. Brides.com has done a great write on different ways you can use sweet peas in your wedding flowers.
Last, but certainly not least, is bluebells. Spring is a great time for blue flowers, with not only bluebells, but also delphinium, forget me nots, and hyacinth all making an appearance. A pop of blue looks especially amazing against white blooms such as peonies or roses, as well as some pale green foliage such as eucalyptus or dusty miller.
