A little about us

The Lost Flower Shed was opened in October of 2018 by 25-year floral design veteran Anna May. Whether you’re getting married or in the dog box, The Lost Flower Shed has flowers and gifts for every occasion.

Why “lost”? Back in the 70’s when the buildings at 2083 East Coast Rd were first placed on the property, the shed never arrived. It was eventually found, but the name stuck, hence “The Lost Flower Shed”.

Yes! We deliver Auckland-wide, however some conditions do apply. We charge a flat rate of $15 for urban delivery and $25 for rural.

In order to get the most out of your flowers, we recommend following these steps:

  1. First, remove your flowers from their packaging. Re-cut the stems at an angle, about 2cm away from the ends.
  2. Next, fill a clean vase with cool water. Remove any foliage that may end up underwater.
  3. Finally, remember to keep your flowers out of direct sunlight and away from extreme heat. Avoid placing them near fresh fruit if you can. Enjoy!

We’re open weekdays from 9:30am to 5:00pm, and Saturdays from 9:00am to 12:00pm. We’re closed on Sundays.

Please note that we aren’t always available after hours or on days we are closed. 

Generally speaking, a posy contains shorter-stemmed blooms and is quite rounded and compact in shape, whereas a bouquet has longer stems and is more ‘loose’ in construction.

All of our posies and bouquets are made fresh to order, using the best seasonal flowers and foliage we have available on the day.

For our themed arrangements, such as the Smeg, Casper, or Camaro bouquets, the colouring, style, and value of the arrangment will be the same as what is pictured, although the actual blooms used may differ.

For any product lablled ‘Florist’s Choice’, such as our Hat Box Posies, the flowers received will not be the same as what is pictured. However, the value wioll still be the same.

We sure do! We can provide flowers for almost any occasion; including weddings, funerals, graduation or awards ceremonies, parties, balls, fundraisers and more.

The sooner you contact us the better, especially during busy periods, such as the summer! Two or more months prior to the date of the event is best, however we can work to a shorter time-frame if necessary for events like funerals (provided the date you wish to book for is still available).

Please note that we accept all bookings on a first-come first-served basis, and bookings are only locked-in after we’ve received your 50% deposit.
